Description

STPFA High Flow Water Filter Element

The WIRES STPFA high-flow filter element features a large 6-inch (152.4 mm) diameter pleated design that delivers dramatically greater effective filtration area compared to standard cartridges. This results in higher flow rates, longer service life, and fewer element change-outs — making it a cost-effective choice for high-purity water treatment and industrial liquid filtration applications. The flow direction runs from outside to inside, with the support structure available as either integral polypropylene or polyester mesh.

Key Features

  • Large diameter high-flow design: 6-inch outer diameter provides significantly greater filtration area than standard cartridges, enabling high flow rates with low differential pressure.
  • Hydrophilic membrane media: No pre-wetting required — the filter element is ready for immediate use, reducing commissioning time and labor costs.
  • Integral support core: Polypropylene inner support structure provides high strength, dimensional stability, and long service life even under demanding process conditions.
  • Thermal sealed construction: End caps and media are thermally welded to ensure a reliable, leak-free seal without adhesive binders that could contaminate the process fluid.
  • Direct housing compatibility: Designed to fit existing standard high-flow filter housings without modification or re-piping.
