WIRES Marine Candle Filter Element
The WIRES marine candle filter element is a precision-engineered, long-service-life filter cartridge designed for the harsh operating environment of marine fuel oil and lubricating oil purification systems. Each candle is constructed from 316L stainless steel woven wire mesh or wedge-wire media over a perforated support core, with bolt-down or threaded end caps for secure installation in conventional candle filter housings used in fuel handling separators and clarifiers. The all-metal construction resists high-viscosity heavy fuel oils, asphalt-containing crude slops, and thermal cycling common on ocean-going vessels. The large open area of the candle design provides high flow per element while the cleanable media allows repeated back-flushing before replacement is required.
